Courtney Szocs is Piccadilly, Incorporated Business Partnership Professor and Associate Professor of Marketing at Louisiana State University. Courtney’s research interests are in the domain of retailing and sensory marketing. She investigates how sensory cues in the retail ambience (e.g., music, lighting, product samples) and associated with product design (e.g., texture, visual aesthetics) influence consumers’ product perceptions and consumption decisions. Her work is published in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, and Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, among other outlets. In addition to conducting research, Courtney teaches at the undergraduate and PhD levels and serves as Director of the Marketing PhD Program at LSU.
