Soo Kim is Assistant Professor of Marketing at Nanyang Business School at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Prior to joining Nanyang Business School, she was a faculty member at Cornell University's SC Johnson College of Business.
Soo's research expertise is in consumer behavior. Her research interests revolve around how consumers respond to and disclose feelings of insecurities/self-threats and how such feelings influence their social decisions. Her research has been published in leading marketing and psychology journals, including the Journal of Consumer Research and the Journal of Personality & Social Psychology. Her work has been featured in a variety of high-traffic popular media outlets, such as Forbes, TIME Magazine, and the Huffington Post. She has been featured in The Wallstreet Journal as an expert in this research domain. Soo received her PhD in marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She holds an MS in communication from Cornell University and a BS in psychology from Ewha Woman's University in Korea.
